Nintendo Puzzle Collection

Another game that arrived today. Well, collection of games, at any rate: Puzzle de Pon, Dr. Mario, and Yoshi no Cookie. Played all three with my wife this evening. There’s a few problems with running it on PAL Gamecube with Freeloader, in that some of the Japanese text appears as gibberish (no, real gibberish), meaning I can’t read it even if I could understand the Japanese. Puzzle de Pon was probably the best of the three. It has a new …

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (Switch): COMPLETED!

No, I didn’t think a crossover between the worlds of Mario and the Rabbids would work either, but somehow, it does. Perhaps it’s partly because the gameplay doesn’t borrow from either party, and Mario + Rabbids becomes its own thing. I was surprised that, despite having a baby at Christmas last year, I was still able to play games in 2009. It seems babies sleep! Not that I’d have imagined that in our first few days with her at home. More surprising, is that I’ve somehow managed to complete a total of 43 games in the last 12 months. In 2008, I “only” completed 33. But the best games of 2009? That’s an ask, isn’t it? Mainly because I’m pretty …
